Where Reptiles Rule

To express Zilla in print, we worked with George Simhoni of Westside Studio in Toronto. Over a two-day photo shoot, George and his crew took a series of photographs that were married to create the feel of “reptiles ruling”.

George’s photos have been described as a blend of art and photography. His style is well established as both ethereal and powerfully subtle. Art directors who come to George know exactly what they are getting. As a result of George’s vast experience, he has the ability and confidence to pull off a technically challenging production and deliver a seamless image at the end of the day.

Art Directors have portrayed George as “having the ability to bring life and humanity to his work.” George’s work has been described as “rich in layers of humanity, humor, irony, and even mystery.” One Art Director has described George as “the master of serendipity, always getting the unexpectedly brilliant image seemingly by accident.”

George is passionate, creative, innovative, and extremely thorough. He loves being part of the creative process. “I want the image to convey an emotion and make the viewer pause for a moment, whether the image provokes thought, irony, or humor,” says George. “I love the challenge of bringing a layout to life, exploring all the possibilities.”

George’s philosophy is that if you plan the shoot well beforehand, you have the time to “allow serendipity to bring the magic to the image.” Says George, “If I can stop someone and give them a momentary thoughtful pause, a smile, or a thought, then I have accomplished my mission.”

George has been recognized as a leader in the photography field. He has won numerous world wide awards in his distinguished career. Look for more of George’s photography in future months.
